A. Mastering the Rules of Tajweed

The first step is the most important. The tutor begins teaching the student the articulation points of letters and vowels, such as shaddah, damma, fatha, and sukoon. He also covers the letters of qalqalah, the rules of noon saakinah and tanween, and meem saakinah and other basic rules. He then moves on to advanced rules, such as the meeting of two consonants, waqf and Ibtida.

B. Recitation as a Professional “Qari”

Tutors aim to develop students’ recitation proficiency and mastery so that their recitation becomes like that of a professional reciter, based on correct and sound rules, free of common mistakes.

C. Proficiency in Arabic

Tutors focus on the skills of correct pronunciation of the Quranic points of articulation, so that non-Arab students can recite like a native Arabic speaker through extensive training and correct recitation.

D. Preparing the Learner for Ijazah

The student moves from learning the basic rules of Tajweed to advanced rules, qualifying them for the Ijazah of Recitation after mastering and applying all the rules of Tajweed.

Curriculum of Our Online Tajweed Classes for Adults

A. Mastering the Makhraij of the Arabic letters

The student begins by learning the Arabic letters, their articulation points, and pronouncing them correctly. Knowing the letters helps the student pronounce Quranic words correctly with continuous training and practice.

B. Distinguishing between Mufakham (Heavy) and  Muraqaq (Light) Letters

You will learn the letters of a heavy sound(mufakham), such as kha’, sad, daad, ghain, taa, qaaf, and dhaa, and the letters of a light sound(muraqaq). This precise distinction is the foundation of correct recitation and will enable you to assign each letter its correct ruling, whether mufakham or muraqaq.

C. Applying the Rules of Qalqalah and Ghunnah

You will master the rules of Qalqalah, making it clearer. You will also practice applying the rules of ghunnah while mastering its timing for letters such as two beats of noon and meem mushadadh. 

D. Mastering Rules of Noon Saakinah and Tanween

You will focus on mastering the rules of noon saakinah and tanween. You will learn the rules of ith-haar, idgham, iqlab, and ikhfa. By applying these rules, your recitation will become more proficient.

E. Rules of meem saakinah

You will study the rules of meem saakinah, which include ikhfa, idgham, and ith-haar. Understanding and correctly applying these rules is essential to avoiding common recitation mistakes, ensuring the correct pronunciation of letters and words.

F. Rules of Madd

You will learn about the different types of madd and their divisions, as well as their signs in the Qur’an. This comprehensive understanding will enable you to correctly apply the rules of madd during your recitation of the Qur’an, adding beauty and harmony to your recitation.

G. Understanding the Symbols of the Qur’an

You will learn the punctuation marks and diacritical marks in the Qur’an. Understanding these symbols is essential to ensuring smooth, error-free recitation, helping you read the Qur’an fluently and confidently.

H. Practice Recitation 

Reciting short and long surahs to affirm tajweed rules fluently, avoiding common mistakes. This practice will build your confidence and enhance your fluency in reciting the Qur’an.

Three Levels of Our Tajweed Classes for Adults

1. Level 1 (Beginners)

Students will begin by learning the basic rules of Tajweed, such as makharij, Qalqa, Ghunnah, and movements (sukun, shaddah, fathah, and kasrah).

2. Level 2 (Intermediate)

Adults will learn more in-depth Tajweed rules, such as the rules of noon saakinah and tanween, the rules of meem, and madd letters. They will practice these rules while reciting verses that include these rules until they are applied, enhancing their ability to recite clearly and confidently.

3. Level 3 (Advanced)

You will advance into rules such as the meeting of two sukoon letters, stopping, and starting, which will qualify you to earn an Ijazah in Quran recitation.
